BOSTON, MA— November 28, 2005 Wrycan, Inc., a provider of XML strategy and implementation expertise to large scale content producers, today announced the upcoming Q1 2006 release of Validation Server^TM.

Wrycan's Validation Server is a lightweight, standalone server that allows the creation, management and execution of business rules for the validation of XML documents, allowing companies to deploy a central repository that will validate XML files against user-defined validation rules. Validation Server integrates with popular XML editors such as Altova's XML Spy.

The Validation Server allows businesses to centralize the task of validating XML files against potentially complex validation rules. Users can set up the following Validation Rule types for XML-based files:

Alternate Schema/DTD Validation
XPath Validation
Schematron Validation
Relax NG Schema Validation
External Resource Validation (such as filesystems, external databases, websites, etc.)
XML Database Validation (query data from external XML databases)

The Validation Server allows users to set up Content Filters that are used to determine an XML file's type, or, Content Type. Once the Content Type is established, Validation Rules are created and assigned to one or more Content Types. Content Filters and Validation Rules are set up using a centralized web application. Users can then submit XML files to the Validation Server by uploading an XML file over the web, or by submitting an XML file directly to the server from XML authoring environments such as Altova's XML Spy and Information Mapping's Content Mapper using plug-ins that Wrycan has developed for authoring tools.
